So, you know how your parents and teachers always say, there's a first time for everything? Especially when you're trying something new, and they secretly want you to, so they don't try and talk you out of it? Well I guess they were right, because my old math teacher told me that one day I should start a blog. It made sense to me since I love to write, and I decided that it would be something cool to try. Anyway, here goes.
Hey guys! This is my first post and I have no idea what to say. I guess I could just start out with what it's like to be a kid.
This one's for all of the misunderstood kids out there!
Being a kid isn't about following rules all the time. For some it's about getting perfect grades and school is their whole life.
For the others, well most of them just want to have fun. The adventurous ones who could care less about following the rules. Just enjoy it while it lasts.
Aside from the goody goodies and rebels, there are the courageous soul-seekers. For some, being a kid is about finding yourself. Stay young, and stay bold.
Find who you are because right when you have it, it's already gone.
Lot's of adults think they're always right. Sometimes they are, and sometimes they just won't listen. We think outside of the box. No logic, just creativity. We notice things that most adults over look. Lot's of times you just want to tell them something but are immediately shushed.
Have you ever heard the story about the girl who had just learned about tsunamis in school? She was at the beach one day with her family. Suddenly the tide started to pull in, miles and miles back. The girl turned around and told everyone to run. She shouted and screamed but no one listened, her family hesitated but trusted her. Tsunami! Tsunami! Everyone run! Get to high ground! She tried her hardest but couldn't get anyone to believe her. She and her family escaped in time, and a couple minutes later the whole beach was wiped out. The girl saved her family's lives.
I bet you could get out of anything for that one! If you get in trouble at home just tell them, I saved your life, and you're off the hook!
See! Even kids know things adults don't. Just trust your instincts and maybe It'll work out. You know being a kid isn't about sitting still. Get their attention!
Thanks, and keep smiling!
Rachel
Ps. Just make sure you don't push it and get grounded.
